M. Jalie Meinecke graduated from Cody High School in 1992, earned an Associates Degree from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming in 1994, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming in 1997. Jalie earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2000. Jalie was sworn into the Wyoming State Bar in 2000, and the Montana State Bar in 2003.
Jalie was born in New Mexico, to a ranching family. She moved to Wyoming in 1985, and claims Cody, Wyoming as her home. Her agricultural and real estate roots give her a rare connection with Wyoming citizens. Her education from the local educational institutions has provided her with a diverse knowledge base to understand and deal with the legal needs that are specific to Wyoming people. While at the University of Wyoming College of Law, Jalie’s studies focused on agricultural issues, water law, business and mineral law. Jalie served as president and vice-president for the Natural Resources Law Forum, and was a contributor to the Land and Water Law Review, submitting an extensive article about the legal cases and history of brucellosis in Wyoming.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming College of Law, Jalie joined the firm of Simonton & Simonton in 2000, and remained there until opening her own firm with fellow associate Alex H. Sitz III in 2005. At Simonton law firm, Jalie gained extensive experience in personal injury and wrongful death cases, business law, contracts, real estate, probate, estate planning and banking.
Jalie is a member of the Wyoming State Bar, the Montana State Bar, and is on the Board of Directors for the Wyoming Trial Lawyers. She enjoys camping, hunting and fishing with her husband and two sons. |

Alex H. Sitz III graduated from Indiana State University in 1998, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science. An environmental law class at undergraduate school initially sparked his interest in the law and he thereafter pursued his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law, graduating in 2002. Alex was sworn into the Wyoming State Bar in October, 2002.
Alex was born in Trenton, Michigan, the oldest of three boys. However, he was raised in a small agricultural community in Jasper County, Indiana, where he grew up working on a family farm, and pursued his love of sports which led him to fulfill a football career playing offensive line at Indiana State University. He thereafter moved to Wyoming in 1998, to attend law school and begin his legal career.
After graduating from law school in 2002, he began his career as a State Prosecutor for Hot Springs County, Wyoming, gaining invaluable experience in criminal law and trial practice matters. He moved to Cody, Wyoming in 2004 to join the firm of Simonton and Simonton, where he also began working with his current law partner, M. Jalie Meinecke. Working with Simonton and Simonton, Alex broadened his legal career not only practicing criminal defense law, but also establishing an active practice in domestic law, administrative law, contract law, property law, and general trial practice matters.
Alex is a member of the Wyoming State Bar, American Bar Association, and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association.
Alex is married and the couple have two young sons. He enjoys fly fishing, shooting competitively in shotgun sports, loves to wing shoot, and training his Labrador retriever, Sage. He is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Cody Shooting Complex. |
